ImageJAKARTA, KOMPAS.com--Ratusan sekolah dasar di Singapura dan Malaysia memiliki dan mempelajari alat musik tradisional asal Indonesia yakni, angklung dan gamelan.

Yose Rizal Manua, Dosen Institut Kesenian Jakarta, mengatakan, banyak sekolah di luar negeri memiliki alat musik tradisional asal Indonesia.

"Selain unik, alat musik tersebut memiliki makna yang kuat dan dapat dipelajari oleh mereka, sehingga sekolah di negara itu mengharuskan siswa-siswinya mempelajari lebih dalam tentang kesenian asal Indonesia," kata Yose di Jakarta, Sabtu.

Saat berkunjung ke Singapura dan Malaysia, ia mengetahui sekitar 172 sekolah dasar di negara tersebut menyimpan alat musik angklung.

"Dan yang lebih unik lagi sekitar 150 sekolah di negara tersebut juga memiliki alat musik tradisional asal Pulau Jawa yaitu gamelan lengkap," ujar Yose.

Bukan hanya menyimpan alat musik saja, kata Yose, negara-negara tetangga juga ingin belajar kesenian dari beberapa daerah di Indonesia.

"Karena kesenian dan alat seni asal Indonesia memiliki arti yang sangat dalam, seperti halnya "gong", gong tidak akan dipukul/dibunyikan sebelum waktunya," katanya.

Makna dari itu adalah sebagai manusia tidak akan ngomong seenaknya sendiri tanpa waktu yang tepat. "Tidak berbicara seenaknya sendiri."

Menurut Yose, beberapa tahun terakhir masyarakat di negara-negara maju telah memulai mengembangkan seni sejak dini dan dari lingkungan keluarga.

Namun sebaliknya yang terjadi di Indonesia, akhir-akhir ini generasi mudah mulai kurang senang terhadap kesenian daerah, bahkan mereka tidak lagi menghargai seni dan budaya sendiri.

Seniman yang telah beberapa kali berkeliling negara Asia dan Eropa itu mengaku sangat prihatin terhadap generasi muda yang tidak menghargai seni dan budaya sendiri.

"Terbukti banyak anak muda sekarang kurang mengerti seni dan budaya sendiri," katanya.

Ia berharap sekolah-sekolah di seluruh Indonesia kembali menanamkan kecintaan anak didiknya kepada seni dan budaya lokal, melalui mata pelajaran sekolah.

"Saya yakin dengan masuknya seni ke dalam kurikulum sekolah, seni dan budaya sendiri akan semakin dikenal oleh putra-puti kita," katanya.
