The Father of Angklung Daeng Sutigna first created the diatonic angklung in 1938. Until now, angklung still has to face many challenges of identity to be acknowledged as one of world’s standard music instruments. One major problem is that there is no firm standard yet in constructing, tuning, forming, playing, and compositing angklung. Another problem is that until today, an angklung music community as a media of education and industrialization of the angklung music hasn’t been founded yet. Through this website we would like to ask you who have a great concern to the development of angklung to pass this piece of information to the world in order to support this developing music instrument. Through this website we would like to convey an angklung-ical activity to an angklung team or community and hopefully someday the industrialization of angklung can be realized. KabarIndonesia - Keberagaman suku dan budaya di Indonesia sangat berpengaruh terhadap karakteristik masyarakat daerah. Kekayaaan seni budaya tersebut sangat beragam, mulai dari bahasa, kesenian, kuliner, pakaian hingga pengucapan gaya bahasa.

 

Dari keragamaan tersebut masyarakat tetap menjaga kelestariannya di balik era globalisasi yang sudah tinggi. Salah satu keberagaman seni budaya itu adalah musik kontemporer Indonesia, di mana dari tiap-tiap daerah memiliki ciri dan karakteristik sendiri-sendiri. Musik kontemporer ini mengilhami keberadaan musik-musik modern.

Simak saja beberapa alat musik yang selalu digunakan untuk menghasilkan karya seni musik yang berkarakter etnis seperti konga, kulintang, angklung, sasando rote, gamelan (Jawa dan Bali), gambang kromong sampai alat musik perpaduan antara etnis Indonesia dengan China yakni tehyan.

Beberapa alat musik daerah tersebut yang nantinya menghasilkan musikalitas kontemporer di Indonesia. Dalam tiap-tiap daerah tertentu, musik kontemporer ini digunakan selama berabad-abad untuk mengisi acara-acara adat seperti upacara keagamaan, pernikahan, tarian dan untuk sekedar pertunjukan umum. Dengan sedikit lirik serta nuansa ritme yang memiliki karakter tersendiri, musik kontemporer ini berkembang hingga sekarang dengan berbagai perubahan modern.

Perkembangan musik kontemporer ini terus meningkat seiring dengan pertumbuhan musik di tanah air. Tak luput pula musik inipun sudah merambah sampai kelas festival/pertunjukan baik dalam negeri sampai luar negeri. Dalam era sekarang, perpaduan antara musikalitas modern dan kontemporer menjadi tren tersendiri bagi para musisi, mulai dari penggabungan alat musik hingga pemakaian alat musik daerah secara total.

Walhasil musikalitas kontemporer benar-benar sangat tinggi. Semoga pelestarian akan musik kontemporer asli Indonesia ini terus berlangsung dan berkembang secara terus menerus. (*)
