<<< Welcome to Angklung Web Institute (AWI)! This website is a medium of information exchange about angklung knowledge and competence, especially diatonic angklung in orchestral composition. The Father of Angklung Daeng Sutigna first created the diatonic angklung in 1938. Until now, angklung still has to face many challenges of identity to be acknowledged as one of world’s standard music instruments. One major problem is that there is no firm standard yet in constructing, tuning, forming, playing, and compositing angklung. Another problem is that until today, an angklung music community as a media of education and industrialization of the angklung music hasn’t been founded yet. Through this website we would like to ask you who have a great concern to the development of angklung to pass this piece of information to the world in order to support this developing music instrument. Through this website we would like to convey an angklung-ical activity to an angklung team or community and hopefully someday the industrialization of angklung can be realized. PROGRAM SENI DAN BUDAYA NTUST-ISA 2008 (Ntust-isa.org, 29 Desember 2007)

Mahasiswa internasional di NTUST yang paling banyak saat ini adalah mahasiswa yang berasal dari Indonesia. Saat ini ada sekitar 96 mahasiwa yang berasal dari Indonesia dan terdaftar aktif dalam NTUST-ISA, mayoritas adalah mahasiswa master, doktor dan ada 2 mahasiswa tingkat sarjana.

Dengan jumlah mahasiswa sebanyak ini, cukup memberi warna baru dalam kehidupan kampus yang mayoritas mahasiwa Taiwan. Mahasiswa lokal dan dosen lokal menganggap bahwa komunitas ini merupakan representasi masyarakat Indonesia.

Untuk memberi warna baru dan sekaligus untuk mendukung program Presiden NTUST, tentang pertukaran budaya antara mahasiswa lokal dan mahasiswa internasional maka NTUST-ISA aktif mengambil bagian dengan mengadakan program tahunan yang dapat mengenalkan budaya Indonesia, adapun program tersebut adalah:

1. Lomba Fotografi tentang budaya dan kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat Indonesia (Desember 2007-Februari 2008).

2. Lomba karya tulis iptek, budaya dan kehidupan sehari-hari (Desember 2007-Februari 2008).

Kedua kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh semua mahasiswa Indonesia yang sedang belajar di Taiwan. Foto dan artikel terbaik akan dipajang dalam Indonesian Culture Exhibition.

3. Indonesian Culture Exhibition.

Akan dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2008, di mana dalam kegiatan ini akan ditampilkan tari-tarian daerah, alat musik tradisonal angklung. Untuk kegiatan ini diharapkan dukungan dan partisipasi dari mahasiswa Indonesia yang belajar di Taiwan.

4. Kursus angklung bagi masyarakat lokal. Untuk mendukung kegiatan ini, kita telah mengajukan proposal ke KDEI pembelian dua buah angklung 2 oktaf.

5. Kursus bahasa Indonesia bagi masyarakat lokal.

Semua kegiatan ini akan dilaksanakan oleh anggota NTUST-ISA dan didukung oleh kantor dagang Indonesia di Taipei (KDEI) dan Office of Internasional Affair (OIA-NTUST).
