<<< Welcome to Angklung Web Institute (AWI)! This website is a medium of information exchange about angklung knowledge and competence, especially diatonic angklung in orchestral composition. The Father of Angklung Daeng Sutigna first created the diatonic angklung in 1938. ImageKuala Lumpur, CyberNews. Malaysia makin getol saja mengincar berbagai produksi Indonesia untuk dipatenkan menjadi milik mereka. Jika tidak diwaspadai, bisa-bisa produk unggulan yang menjadi ciri khas Indonesia akan habis dimiliki oleh negeri jiran itu.

Contoh yang paling nyata adalah produk batik. Malaysia memiliki hak paten jauh lebih banyak dibandingkan Solo atau Pekalongan dan Yogyakarta. Solo baru berhasil mematenkan produk batik sekitar 154 motif. Malaysia justru sudah lebih dari 200 motif. Kini, mereka mengincar produk lainnya, seperti kerajinan tangan.

Ini dibenarkan oleh AM Fachir, Kuasa Usaha Ad Interim yang saat ini merangkap Pelaksana Tugas Duta Besar Indonesia untuk Malaysia. ''Mereka memang tidak punya rasa risih mematenkan produk orang lain. Bagi mereka, ini persoalan bisnis. Mereka akan sangat diuntungkan. Perkara orang lain, salah sendiri,'' kata dia saat menjamu rombongan Bupati Karanganyar Rina Iriani.

Dengan memiliki hak paten, Malaysia akan memperoleh opsi atas penjualan barang tersebut. Jika tidak, maka yang memproduksi barang itu bisa dicap sebagai pembajak, sama dengan pembajakan produk lain yang memang banyak dilekatkan kepada bangsa Indonesia.

Batik yang dipatenkan banyak berasal dari motif Lasem, Rembang. Para perajin batik di wilayah itu memang banyak yang mati karena tidak lagi ada order. Kondisi ini diketahui pengusaha Malaysia. Akhirnya, perajin banyak yang dibawa ke perusahaan itu, dan kemudian diproduksi secara besar-besaran.

''Perajin senang, apalagi bayaran bekerja di Malaysia jauh lebih besar. Tapi yang untung sangat besar pengusahanya. Apalagi setelah itu, produk tersebut dipatenkan. Nah, model seperti inilah yang kini dikembangkan terus oleh beberapa pengusaha besar di Malaysia,'' kata dia.

Misalnya masakan padang. Meski asalnya dari Sumatra Barat, dan berkembang pesat ke seluruh dunia, ternyata sebagian sudah dipatenkan pula oleh Malaysia. Mereka tidak peduli dengan akar sejarah, yang tentu menjadi hak milik warga Indonesia.

Kulintang

''Sekarang ini, mereka getol mengincar aneka produk kerajinan lainnya. Bahkan musik kulintang dan angklung, sudah diincar. Banyak perajin musik itu yang didekati untuk pindah dan mengembangkan usaha di Malaysia. Mungkin saja suatu saat nanti, akan terjadi hal yang sama, dipatenkan seperti batik,'' tandas dia didampingi beberapa staf konsuler.

Hal yang sama juga terjadi di Jepara. Secara diam-diam banyak pengusaha Malaysia yang masuk ke sana dan mengincar berbagai motif ukir. Apalagi perkembangan ukir di kota itu juga sudah mulai surut. Bisa jadi perajinnya akan diangkut dan disuruh memproduksi secara besar-besaran.

Kesadaran mereka akan hak paten dan hak cipta memang sudah bagus. Ditunjang dengan perkembangan ekonomi yang sangat pesat, Malaysia sangat mungkin mewujudkan keinginannya itu. Tahun 2006, sudah 108 jenis perdagangan Malaysia mengalami surplus.

''Mereka belum surplus di sektor pertanian saja. Karena itu kini terus memperluas lahan pertanian ke Kalimantan dan Sumatra. Caranya dengan membeli areal pertanian untuk kelapa sawit, coklat, buah-buahan, dan produk pertanian lainnya. Hasilnya dibawa ke Malaysia untuk diolah,'' kata Fachir.

Malaysia sudah mampu memproduksi coklat yang kualitasnya sepadan dengan coklat Swiss yang sangat terkenal. Karena itu mereka memperluas lahan coklatnya ke berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Karena itu, Fachir beharap pemda waspada. Termasuk melindungi berbagai produk unggulan di daerahnya agar tidak dipatenkan Malaysia.

Kisah tempe yang dipatenkan Jepang, atau batik yang dimiliki Malaysia, cukup sampai di sini. Jangan ditambah lagi. Perajin perlu didorong dan dibantu mematenkan produk unggulan miliknya.
