<<< Welcome to Angklung Web Institute (AWI)! This website is a medium of information exchange about angklung knowledge and competence, especially diatonic angklung in orchestral composition. The Father of Angklung Daeng Sutigna first created the diatonic angklung in 1938. Until now, angklung still has to face many challenges of identity to be acknowledged as one of world’s standard music instruments. One major problem is that there is no firm standard yet in constructing, tuning, forming, playing, and compositing angklung. Another problem is that until today, an angklung music community as a media of education and industrialization of the angklung music hasn’t been founded yet. Through this website we would like to ask you who have a great concern to the development of angklung to pass this piece of information to the world in order to support this developing music instrument. Through this website we would like to convey an angklung-ical activity to an angklung team or community and hopefully someday the industrialization of angklung can be realized. BAGAIMANAKAH CARA MEMEGANG ALAT MUSIK ANGKLUNG? Print E-mail
Seperti pada umumnya, angklung dimainkan dengan cara digetarkan. Untuk menghasilkan bunyi yang baik, maka ada beberapa teknik yang dapat diterapkan sebagai berikut (contoh untuk angklung melodi).


Cara Memegang Satu Angklung

Angklung dapat dipegang dengan cara sebagai berikut (ini berlaku untuk yang normal, jika kidal maka diperlakukan sebaliknya):

  • Tangan kiri bertugas memegang angklung dan tangan kanan bertugas menggetarkan angklung.
  • Tangan kiri dapat memegang angklung dengan cara memegang simpul pertemuan dua tiang angklung vertikal dan horisontal (yang berada di tengah), sehingga angklung dipegang tepat di tengah-tengah. Hal ini dapat dilakukan baik dengan genggaman tangan dengan telapak tangan mengahdap ke atas atau pun ke bawah.
  • Posisi angklung yang dipegang sebaiknya tegak, sejajar dengan tubuh, dengan jarak angklung dari tubuh cukup jauh (siku tangan kiri hampir lurus), agar angklung dapat digetarkan dengan baik dan maksimal.
  • Tangan kanan selanjutnya memegang ujung tabung dasar angklung (horisontal) dan siap menggetarkan angklung.

Cara Memegang Lebih dari Satu Angklung

Untuk pemain yang memegang lebih dari satu angklung, dapat dilakukan cara memegang angklung sebagai berikut:

Angklung yang ukurannya lebih besar dipegang tangan kiri pada posisi yang lebih dekat ke tubuh, baik dengan cara dimasukkan ke dalam lengan (jika angklung melodi besar atau yang masuk ke dalam lengan pemain) di posisi lengan bawah, atau dimasukkan ke dalam jari tangan kiri sehingga angklung sisanya dapat dipegang juga oleh jari tangan kiri lainnya dan masing-masing angklung dapat dimainkan dengan sempurna dan baik.
