The Father of Angklung Daeng Sutigna first created the diatonic angklung in 1938. Through this website we would like to convey an angklung-ical activity to an angklung team or community and hopefully someday the industrialization of angklung can be realized. Liputan6.com, Lebak: Suku Baduy di Lebak, Banten, terkenal sebagai komunitas adat yang memegang teguh kemurnian warisan budayanya. Tapi itu hanya berlaku di kampung Baduy dalam. Di sekelilingnya, terdapat kampung-kampung yang sudah menerima budaya luar, seperti menggunakan alat-alat elektronik atau pun sistem perdagangan modern. Salah satunya adalah Desa Gajebo, Kabupaten Lebak, Banten.

Desa Gajebo bisa dicapai melalui Kampung Ciboleger, tepatnya Desa Kenekes. Kampung yang menjadi gerbang utama ke Desa Gajebo ini terletak sekitar 170 kilometer arah barat Kota Jakarta. Di kampung inilah, pendatang atau wisatawan harus meminta izin untuk mengunjungi kampung Baduy.

Perjalanan menuju Desa Gajebo cukup melelahkan. Maklum, jalur yang tersedia hanya jalan setapak dan perbukitan. Apalagi, jalanan menjadi licin saat musim hujan tiba. Perjalanan sejauh 2,3 kilometer bisa ditempuh dalam waktu 45 menit.

Memasuki Desa Gajebo, wisatawan harus menyeberangi Sungai Ciujung melewati sebuah jembatan bambu. Jembatan ini setiap tahun diganti pada bulan tertentu dengan mengerahkan 100 hingga 150 orang. Memasuki Desa Gajebo, bangunan lumbung padi berjejer rapi di kiri kanan jalan seolah menyambut para pendatang.

Di siang hari, kampung tampak sepi. Sebab, sebagian besar penduduk sedang bekerja di ladang. Yang tersisa hanya ibu-ibu yang sedang menenun dan beberapa pandai besi pembuat golok. Suasana di malam hari justru lebih ramai. Masyarakat biasanya berlatih angklung buhun. Seni angklung buhun dimainkan 12 laki-laki yang biasa digelar saat hendak menanam padi di huma. Menurut masyarakat setempat, angklung buhun dimainkan untuk menyelaraskan perjodohan Sri Pohaci--dewi padi-- dan bumi di ladang.

Berbeda dengan angklung buhun yang digelar pada acara khusus, warga bermain alat musik seperti rendo, kecapi, dan suling, hampir setiap malam. Maklum, meski tidak dilarang, alat elektronik seperti radio atau televisi masih jarang dimiliki. Nah, berminat bukan menelusuri penduduk Baduy Luar sambil menikmati suling khas mereka?.(ZAQ/Esther Mulyani dan Binsar Rahadian)
