Liputan6.com, Jakarta: Dua tangan lelaki berambut uban itu dengan cekatan memainkan sederetan alat musik angklung yang ada di depannya. Lagu Cucak Rowo ia perdengarkan melalui alat musik bambu itu kepada para penonton yang ada di salah satu kawasan wisata di Jakarta. Lelaki itu bernama Yoes Roesadi, seorang seniman tradisional yang telah memainkan alat musik khas Jawa Barat sejak puluhan tahun silam.

Menurut Yoes, kecintaannya memainkan angklung dimulai saat ia mengdengarkan kemerduan alunan musik bambu ini pada puluhan tahun silam. Di usia 69 tahun, pria ini masih tetap setia memainkan angklung. Berkat kepiawaiannya itu, bersama grup Arumba yang dibentuknya pada tahun 1970, ia kerap diundang oleh negara-negara dunia untuk mempertunjukkan kebolehannya. Tidak hanya itu, berbagai macam piagam penghargaan diraihnya saat pentas di mancanegara.

Semua itu bisa diraihnya berkat ketekunannya memainkan alat musik bambu itu. Hingga kini, keseharian pria asal Jawa Barat itu tak bisa dipisahkan dari angklung. Setiap kali ada waktu, ia selalu menggunakannya untuk membuat sebuah angklung. Bagi dirinya, alat musik yang sudah ada sejak 1920 silam ini mungkin sudah ibarat istri kedua.

Di rumahnya, ratusan angklung tersimpan di sebuah ruangan di lantai atas kediamannya. Setidaknya ada 300 alat musik bambu milik Yoes tersimpan di ruang itu. Termasuk angklung yang digunakannya saat pentas pada era 1960-an. Selain itu, di pinggir tangga rumah pemain angklung senior ini juga bergelantungan angklung.

Yoes pun tidak pernah bosan dalam memperkenalkan salah satu alat musik khas Indonesia ini. Kegiatan itu sudah ia lakukan sejak tahun 1965. Tujuannya agar angklung dapat terus dikenal masyarakat luas dan tidak punah di tengah maraknya alat musik modern. "Sejak dulu saya tidak memikirkan besarnya honor, karena saya ingin mengangkat citra angklung," tutur dia.

Selain itu, ia mempunyai cita-cita untuk mendirikan sekolah musik angklung. Namun, karena tidak ada dananya cita-cta itu sampai kini tidak terwujud. Sementara kelompok musik Arumba yang pernah dibentuknya telah bubar. Personelnya, menurut Yoes, telah main di mana-mana. "Sekarang banyak musik-musik asing yang datang ke sini. Jadi tidak laku," ujar Yoes.

Belum lama ini, salah satu kawasan wisata di Jakarta mengundang Yoes untuk mempertontonkan permainan angklung solonya. Dalam setiap pertunjukannya, suami dari Sukesti Yuhana ini selalu mengajak penonton untuk belajar memainkan angklung-angklung miliknya. Dalam memandu penonton dalam memainkan angklungnya, Yoes dibantu dengan kain warna putih yang bertuliskan tujuh not tangga lagu.

Tak sampai lima menit, ia berhasil mengajari penonton sepenggal lagu anak-anak, Burung Kakak Tua. Kegembiraan pun tampak pada wajah para penonton yang hari itu untuk kali pertama berhasil memainkan angklung. Sebuah alat musik yang belum pernah mereka mainkan sebelumnya. Menurut Yoes, dengan ketelatenan yang tinggi setiap orang dapat memainkan angklung dengan irama apa pun.

Selain angklung, sebuah alat musik menyerupai kolintang yang disebut sebagai celofon bambu ia ciptakan. Bilah-bilah bambu itu dapat menghasilkan berbagai macam instrumen musik. Kepada SCTV, Yoes unjuk kebolehan dengan memainkan instrumen lagu Es Lilin. Alunan-alunan nada itu ia pelajari secara otodidak dengan ketelatenan yang tinggi sebagai pelestari alat musik tradisi asli Indonesia.(BOG/Cindy Agustina dan Amar Sujarwadi)
