The Father of Angklung Daeng Sutigna first created the diatonic angklung in 1938. Kesenian tradidional angklung (alat musik dari bambu) yang terkenal dari Provinsi Jawa Barat, termasuk yang hidup di Kota Bogor, bila tidak dilakukan penyelamatan melalui berbagai upaya pendidikan kesenian sejak dini di bangku-bangku sekolah bukan mustahil bakal dilupakan dan malahan bisa punah.


"Karena itu dampak yang dihasilkan dari kegitan pelatihan harus timbul seperti upaya untuk menghidupkan kembali seni Angklung yang sekarang nyaris mengalami kepunahan," kata Walikota Bogor, Diani Boediarto di Bogor, Senin.

"Ini merupakan aset yang perlu dihidupkan kembali pada sekolah-sekolah di Kota Bogor," tambahnya.

Penegasan itu disampaikan saat berbicara pada pembukaan pelatihan kesenian para guru kesenian tingkat, TK, SD, SLTA dan SMU se Kota Bogor di Aula Gedung SMK Bogor Jalan Pajajaran.

Ia mengatakan, kegiatan pelatihan kesenian bagi para guru kesenian se Kota Bogor merupakan salah satu program kerja rutin yang dilaksanakan oleh Kantor Pariwisata Seni dan Budaya.

Rutininas, kata dia, memang diperlukan dalam kegiatan pelatihan, sebagai salah satu bentuk wujud konsistensi Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Bogor meningkatkan kualitas aparatur.

"Tapi, saya berharap bahwa kegiatan rutin tahunan ini jangan hanya sekedar memenuhi yang sudah diprogramkan dalam DASK (Dokumen Anggaran Satuan Kerja) Kantor Pariwisata Seni dan Budaya, tapi apa dampak yang bisa dihasilkan dari pelatihan bagi para guru kesenian itu sendiri," katanya.

Selain itu, menurut dia, perlu pula disadari bahwa kegiatan pelatihan selamanya diperlukan oleh para guru, sebagai bagian dari proses belajar dan meningkatkan penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan.

"Guru yang terus belajar ibarat mata air yang akan mampu terus menerus mengeluarkan air jernih, yang sangat diperlukan di dalam kehidupan manusia," katanya.

Terlebih lagi, katanya, apabila dicermati bahwa saat ini dunia pendidikan tengah mengalami berbagai penyempurnaan sebagai usaha meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan nasional, termasuk di antaranya adalah diberlakukannya kurikulum berbasis kompetensi di seluruh jenjang pendidikan.

Sementara itu, Kepala Kantor Pariwisata Seni dan Budaya Kota Bogor Ny Hj Reny Handayani menjelaskan bahwa meteri pelatihan meliputi pelatihan tari permainan untuk tingkat TK/SD dan pelatihan musik angklung untuk tingkat SLTP/SMU.

Sedangkan peserta kegiatan yang berlangsung sejak 19 sampai 24 April 2004 itu sebanyak 100 orang terdiri atas guru TK, SD, SLTP, dan guru SMU masing-masing sebanyak 25 orang.(Ant/jy)
