<<< Welcome to Angklung Web Institute (AWI)! This website is a medium of information exchange about angklung knowledge and competence, especially diatonic angklung in orchestral composition. The Father of Angklung Daeng Sutigna first created the diatonic angklung in 1938. Until now, angklung still has to face many challenges of identity to be acknowledged as one of world’s standard music instruments. One major problem is that there is no firm standard yet in constructing, tuning, forming, playing, and compositing angklung. Another problem is that until today, an angklung music community as a media of education and industrialization of the angklung music hasn’t been founded yet. Through this website we would like to ask you who have a great concern to the development of angklung to pass this piece of information to the world in order to support this developing music instrument. Through this website we would like to convey an angklung-ical activity to an angklung team or community and hopefully someday the industrialization of angklung can be realized. MENTERI PENDIDIKAN DAN KEBUDAYAAN
REPUBLIK INDONESIA
NO. 082/1968

Tentang
PENETAPAN ANGKLUNG
SEBAGAI ALAT PENDIDIKAN MUSIK

Menimbang :

Bahwa angklung yang mula-mula sebagai alat permainan kemudian terdapat hal-hal yang penting dan menonjol dalam bidang character-building seperti kerja sama, gotong royong, disiplin, kecermatan, ketangkasan, tanggung jawab dan lain-lainnya, yang kemudian meningkat kepada hal-hal yang berarti dalam pendidikan seni suara, seperti membangkitkan perhatian terhadap musik, menghidupkan musikalitas, mengembangkan rasa rythme, rasa melodi, rasa harmoni, dan lain-lain.
Bahwa berhubung dengan hal-hal tersebut pada sub a, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa walaupun angklung belum merupakan alat musik yang cukup sempurna tetapi dapat dipertanggungjawabkan sebagai alat pendidikan, sehingga dipandang perlu menetapkan angklung sebagai alat pendidikan musik.

Mengingat :

Keputusan Presiden Republik Indonesia :

Nomor 173 tahun 1966;
Nomor 183 tahun 1968.

Keputusan Presidium Kabinet tanggal 3 November 1966 Nomor 75/U/KEP/11/1966.

Mendengar :

Direktur Jenderal Kebudayaan.

M E M U T U S K A N

Pertama :

Menetapkan angklung sebagai alat pendidikan musik dalam lingkungan Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan.

Kedua :

Menugaskan kepada Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan untuk mengusahakan agar supaya angklung dapat ditetapkan sebagai alat pendidikan musik tidak hanya dalam lingkungan Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan.

Ketiga :

Keputusan ini mulai berlaku sejak tanggal ditetapkan.

pada tanggal 23 Agustus 1968

saya sebagai pengajar seni musik di Sd dan SMP sangat mengharap adanya vcd pembelajaran interaktif tentang belajar angklung untuk bisa digunakan sebagai pembelajaran di sekolah yang jauh dari kota
