The Father of Angklung Daeng Sutigna first created the diatonic angklung in 1938. Until now, angklung still has to face many challenges of identity to be acknowledged as one of world’s standard music instruments. buat tim AWI ada niatan ga untuk membuat balap angklung perguruan tinggi?kan selama ini dikhususkan untuk SD-SMA aja!!!kan kasian sama yang udah kuliah... :sigh
oh..iya satu lagi...tolong dong sama timAWI untuk memberikan info tentang pagelaran2 kebudayaan di luar negeri khususnya...lumayan kan nanti tim2 angklung bisa berpromosi untuk tampil juga di acara tersebut...

This is the first Angklung page I ever visit and it was awesome!! I'm a member of International Islamic University Malaysia's Angklung Club and we are looking forward to expand our music here. I'm sure this website will help us a lot. Keep up the good work!

:) saya kaget sekaligus senang menemukan situs angklung ini. saat ini saya sedang bermukin di Amman, ibu kota Kerajaan Jordania. di Kedutaan Besar RI sedang berlangsung pelatihan angklung yang diasuh oleh bapak Samudjo, putra pemiliki Saung Angklung Mang Udjo. Iseng2 saya ingin tahu lebih banyak ttg angklung dan ternyata tersedia di sini....terimakasih, semoga alat musik tatar Sunda ini semakin berkibar dan suara merdunya mengalun di seluruh dunia. Salam

Saya adalah salah satu fans musik angklung, pernah juga jadi pelatih angklung (walaupun mungkin tidak secara profesional). Saat ini tengah menyelesaikan prog. pascasarjana di UNPAD BKU sosiologi dan antropologi serta bermaksud bikin tesis tentang angklung.
Saya sudah baca artikel-artikel di website ini. Bagus, tapi ada yang menganggu, untuk artikel The Angklung kenapa bahasa Inggrisnya "aneh" dan tidak natural? Mohon diperbaiki lagi, kan sayang......

Saya salut dengan kompetensi angklung, karena nuansa aransemennya kental sekali. Beda dengan musik biasa, untuk angklung memang dibutuhkan kerjasama yang baik.
Terus terang kalau saya nonton konser angklung, saya selalu berusaha memisahkan setiap nada dan menentukan si A atau si B itu memainkan lagu apa. Kayak tidak ada kerjaan aja ya, tapi itulah yang bikin asyik.
